Early life & Education:

Deborah Norville was born on 8 August 1958 in Dalton Georgia. Norville graduated from the University of Georgia, receiving summa in three years with a perfect 4.0-grade point average. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree. While she was at the University of Georgia, she served on the Main Court of the University’s Student Judiciary.
Norville has also won her town’s local Junior Miss contest.

Career:

Norville began her career in television programs when she was young and used to go to college. she also received an internship through Georgia Public Television. She served on The Lawmakers. After, she was recognized by an executive of WAGA-TV in Atlanta who gave her a summer internship. As Norville said that”The third day was short on reporters, and they told her to cover a news story.”
In 1987, Norville entered in NBC News, she worked as an anchor of NBC News at Sunrise, as the only solo female anchor of a network broadcast. After Norville joined the program Ratings on Sunrise increased up to 40%

Deborah emerged as a prime host, of Bad Girls on violent teenaged girls which is a documentary show. In September 1989, Norville was named as the news anchor on Today.
In 1990 Norville became the co-host of Today Show. She also won Emmy awards for her role in NBC coverage of the Democratic uprising in Romania

In May 1991, ABC Network announced that Norville would be hosting a prime-time program broadcast from her homes in New York and Long Island. The Deborah Norville Show: From Her Home to Yours featured newsmaker interviews and listener calls. Some years later, Deborah returned to television in October 1992 and joined CBS News as a correspondent. She reported for Street stories and 48 hours and won a second Emmy award for coverage of the Mississippi floods of 1994. Currently, Norville works, on the company’s compensation committee.

Deborah Norville is married to Karl Wellner on 12th December 1987 who is a Swedish businessman. They welcomed their three children together. Norville has not been involved in any affair with others, this is her only affair till now. The couple is yet to live a happy life with their kids.
